Court-Relevant Clinical Evaluations

Alma Pozo-Breen, Ph.D., LPCC provides forensic-informed mental health consultation for attorneys and courts in California. Services are evaluation-based, not psychotherapy, and are designed to address clearly defined legal questions using trauma-informed, clinically grounded analysis.

Scope of Services

Dr. Alma Pozo-Breen offers forensic consultation limited to:

  • Trauma impact evaluations

  • Psychosocial and clinical history analysis

  • Treatment suitability and treatment progress evaluations

  • Risk and needs formulation using structured clinical judgment

  • Mitigation-adjacent psychosocial evaluations

  • Record review and collateral interviews

  • Court-relevant written clinical reports

All evaluations are based on interview-based assessment and record review. Psychological testing is not provided.

Services Not Provided

  • Psychological testing (e.g. IQ or personality inventories)

  • Child custody evaluations (Family Code §3111)

  • Competency to stand trial or insanity evaluations

  • Dual-role services (treatment and forensic evaulation in the same matter)

Role Clarification

  • Forensic services are conducted at the request of an attorney or court.

  • The retaining party is the client

  • There is no confidentiality as in psychotherapy, and information may be disclosed in legal proceedings.
